Whether you are planning for a difficult, contested divorce, or just need some advice I can help you with your divorce, or divorce related matter, including custody and visitation, child and/or spousal support, and asset and debt issues.  I also handle domestic violence issues, restraining orders, same sex couples and premarital agreements.

Divorce legal services can be provided either on a full representation basis, providing advice only or “limited scope”, meaning for a specific limited purpose.

When I provide full representation I handle all aspects of the case for you.  I will work to settle the case for you, but if it is not possible I will litigate for you in a reasonable, cost-effect manner.

If you need advice, I can advise you about the legal ramifications of a divorce, how to plan for/respond to a separation, as well as specific issues that may come up in settlement negotiation or mediation.  When my role is of an advisor I typically charge on a pay-as-you-go basis.

“Limited scope representation” means you hire me to handle a specific part of your case, such as representing at a hearing or a specific issue such as support or asset division.  This is a less expensive way of handling legal issues you cannot handle yourself.

Should you need it, I have substantial experience in difficult issues such as division of stock options, and resolving cases where a party has been accused of serious person misconduct in a manner to minimize damage to my client and his/her career.
